At KSMY, where foreign language education constitutes 50% of our entire curriculum, we hold a Topic Speech event as part of our special activities aimed at enhancing students' English speaking and public speaking skills.
Each month, students prepare presentations on a given broad topic, allowing them to explore subjects of their choice. Throughout the preparation process, they receive personalized guidance in various areas, including research, script writing, and practice sessions with both native teachers and their homeroom teachers. To ensure parents can enjoy their children’s confident presentations at home, we record each presentation individually and share the videos with families.
This month’s topic is “Which Gadget is the Most Useful?” Through the insights shared by students discussing gadgets like drones, smartphones, and tablets, we gain a glimpse into the lives of children growing up in the digital age.
The Topic Speech event involves students from grades 1 to 6, providing them with an opportunity to build confidence, learn from one another, and reflect on their presentations as they explore various topics together.
